The u15 girls team finished 6th; the u17 mens team was 12th ; and the Senior mens team 31st at the prestigious English Road Relay Championships at Sutton Park, Birmingham, this past weekend. Well done to all the Harriers!

This past Sunday (September 28th), whilst Oliver Fox was winning at the Taunton 10k, the Harrier team swept to victory at the Mells Scenic 7 mile multi-terrain race, with individual victories for Nathan Young and Clare Prosser, whilst the day before three toughened Harriers set off on their 102 mile racing odyssey known as the Cotswold Way. The previous weekend Ollie Thorner helped Somerset Schools u15 boys gain team bronze medals. in the national multi-events Championships
Clive Thomas : memories of the man

There were some great memories shared at the Thanksgiving service for Clive at St Leonards Church, Butleigh and afterwards at the Victoria Club, Street, on Tuesday October 7th. His son Alan made us see and remember the good old Clive through his eyes and words, revealing many stories from long ago, as well as reminding us of more familiar recent times. We hope to add some recollections from those who were able to attend the service, and the social event afterwards to this website.

Headlines are taken by the two age group Harrier teams that gained bronze medals in the South of England Road Relays held on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday September 20th & 21st. Congratulations though go to all the Harriers of whatever age that competed at these prestigious Championships, and to the team managers for assembling such great squads. The Club once again flew the flag for Somerset throughout the age groups.

Allister Steele: How we remember him

Allister was known to the Harriers over the past 7 or 8 years - initially coming tothe Street series with his talented students from Downside School and then more latterly as a Harrier member bringing a squad across to the Tuesday training sessions at Millfield track.
