Wells City Harrier athletes of all ages have, as usual, been competing on all surfaces and at all athletic disciplines over the past few weeks and in many instances achieving personal bests and/or bolstering the team effort so that we continue to be the strongest team in the county and further afield. No doubt inspired by Commonwealth Games athletes who have been excelling in Glasgow of late, the track & field athletes have in particular been busy.

We have received a number of enquiries from Members who have not yet received their card and membership pack from England Athletics.
Please be assured we are chasing these with EA and you should receive your pack shortly. If we have received your Membership payment we have promptly registered you and your membership with Wells City Harriers and EA are both up to date.

English Schools Championships success

Harrier members Emily Smith won silver and Sophie Hamilton bronze when they competed at the prestigious English schools Track & Field Championships at Alexander Stadium recently. They were part of a successful Somerset schools team that once again punched above its weight in many events.
Charmouth & Quantock fell races and the latest from the SW League Division 1 track match

There have been a number of Wells City Harriers out competing on the fells and the hills this past weekend. Whilst a group went to Charmouth to run to the highest point on the south coast on Saturday, another group went to the Quantocks on Sunday for a tough hill race as part of the Somerset race series, sponsored by M5 Glass. Other members of all ages meanwhile have been competing hard at the 2nd of the Club's South West League Division One matches.
