The festival includes a 10km (min 15 yrs) and 5km (min 13 yrs) road race, as well as a shorter run for 8-12 year olds. We're even putting on a Couch to 5k course for beginners and returners!
The races starts in the beautiful Market Place under the gaze of two medieval gateways - the Penniless Porch and the Bishop’s Eye, and a fast and furious grandstand finish is guaranteed alongside the Bishop’s Palace moat.

Prizes available will be available for both females and males, and in order of precedence, one per competitor.
Team prizes (position of first three runners) will be awarded for the 10k.
The 10k is part of the Somerset Series, which promotes road running across Somerset
The 10k is also part of the Somerset Road Running Championships, if you are eligible to compete
Please note
- No push chairs or strollers
- No dogs except guide dogs (you will have to start at the back)
- No in-ear or over-ear headphones. Bone conducting headphones are permitted
- Race numbers to be collected from the Town Hall on race day
- Further information for entrants will be sent out by email

Showering and changing is available at a local sports centre
Toilets are available next to the Town Hall. Temporary toilets are available behind the Town Hall
Parking information is here but please note that some roads will be closed from 09:00 hrs
