The race clock measures 1.23 x 0.15 x 0.33m and is 12.5kg.
To enquire about using the clock for your race, please
Donations for use of the clock are £15 + 10p per race entry. There is no charge for use by the four clubs who own the clock.
Donations should be made to "Wells City Harriers", account number 79708951, sort code 55-70-31 (Nat West). Please use your race name and year as the reference.
The users registered to use the clock in 2026 are at the bottom of the page.
The current practice is that it is the responsibility of any user to make contact with the previous user and arrange for its collection / delivery. The user then retains the clock until the next user makes contact.
On receipt of the clock please check the batteries are working and be prepared to replace them if necessary. Please remember to turn off the race clock at the end of each race. Further instructions and a help video are available.
The first race clock was purchased in 1994/95 and is jointly owned by four clubs:
- Wells City Harriers
- Yeovil Town Road Runners
- Minehead RC
- Frome RC
These four clubs have first call on the clock and it is then loaned to other clubs on a pay as you go basis. This helps generate an income for a replacement clock.
