Wells City Harriers sent two teams to compete at the South West Road Relays last weekend, (8th & 9th April) whilst a number of other members were racing at the Budapest Half Marathon. The trip to Exeter was, ironically, more difficult due to traffic problems which meant that half of the men’s team only just arrived in time and one member of the women’s team was unable to arrive in time. Nevertheless, the teams performed really well. Sam Somerville, for the men, and Caitlin Carnegie for the women had the best times. On Wednesday night (12th April) there was a host of personal bests for Harriers competing at the Yeovilton 5km race, with Ed Stahl leading home the 20 Harriers competing. Berni Mundy goes top of the national V70 5k rankings! (Photo below from the SW Road relays)
