Harriers at London Marathon

There were a dozen Wells City Harriers competing at Sunday's London Marathon races.

Preceding the main event was the traditional 'Mini-marathon' for juniors from across the country selected by their regions. Representing the South West Region the Harriers had 6, out of the 36 athletes drawn from Cornwall to Gloucester in the various age groups.

County Track & Field Championships May 12th & 13th

The full programme and entry procedure for this year’s County Track & Field Championships organised by Somerset County Athletic Association have now been confirmed. The Championships take place over two days for all age groups from age 11 upwards through to seniors, with events for disabled athletes included in the Programme once again. The Championships take place at the Yeovil Arena.

Easter Bunny 10k

The recent Easter Bunny 10km race on the 9^th April organised by Yeovil Town Road Runners from Yeovilton airbase saw a large field of entrants of close to 400 competing, with rapid finishing times coming from the leading pack.

Wells City Harriers athletes smash records at Burnham on Sea 5k

On Thursday 5th April, 5 Wells City Harriers turned up at Burnham on Sea in calm conditions. Leading the way was Jack Bancroft in 1st place and a new course record in 15.31.
