CHANGE TO WELLS TUESDAY NIGHT TRAINING VENUE
From Tuesday 29th October the club's Senior and Older Juniors training session
will be moving to:
Strode College Sports Centre
Church Road
Street
BA16 OAB
All to meet on the grass pitch behind the main sports hall and tennis courts (Where the Street Park Run starts)
There is a free car park on-site
Registration is from 6.00pm the session starts at 6.15pm and ends at 7.30pm. Please ensure you register & pay in line with Club insurances/policies.
MONDAY NIGHT JUNIOR TRAINING continues at the same venue (Strode College) between 6pm & 7pm (including Half -term week)
WEDNESDAY NIGHT TRAINING (as for the last 30 odd years) from Wells Rugby Club.

Street 5k results - October 2019

Results from first Street Series races held on Wednesday October 9th
There was a good turnout of 91 runners on a wet Wednesday for the first of the 2019-20 Street Series races
First home for Men in the main 5k race was Rich Ayling in a time of 16:18. First female home was Holly Newman in a time of 20:24.

Wells City Harrier members of all ages have once again been out competing this past weekend (September 6th-8th) with over 20 competing at local multi-terrain races and a mile road race, and a further half a dozen at track and field when celebrating the Yeovil Olympiads 50th anniversary. There were a number of Harrier winners and personal bests at all disciplines with the Harrier team winning at the Ash Excellent 8, and individual winners in the Ash 8 and Fearsome5, the 'Naked Mile' and pbs galore at individual track & field events.

Harriers competing hard at Track & Field whilst others run well off-road and on road! & Get ready for XC & Street Night 5k

A number of the Wells City Harrier members have been in action this past week competing at track & field matches with Holly Bigger competing at national Championships, a number supporting the Olympiads at the final South West League match where Georgina Burrows had some good runs, and Mike Biss & Owen Astington achieving a personal best at the recent BMC meeting. Meanwhile Harriers have also been in action off-road and on the road and we look forward to the cross-country season and the forthcoming Street Night 5k Series which gets underway next month - the 31st year of the Clive & Angela Thomas Series! - Jon James goes 2nd on national rankings whilst numerous other Harriers achieve track personal bests
