Great running at Yeovilton 5k road race; and Glaishers run and win too.
The race at the sharp end of the Yeovilton 5km road race last Wednesday (August 12th) was fast and furious with 4 men under 15 minutes for the distance. The pace also seemed to suit a number of the Harrier juniors who came away with personal bests. Winning the sprint for the line at the finish was Hon Life Member Ben Tickner in 14.44 with younger brother Frank (also an Hon Life member) having to settle for 3rd in 14.49. In both instances this was a season’s best. Shaun Antell of Bideford AC was the man to split them. Meanwhile a number of juniors achieved excellent pbs.
