The final league match of the season took place on Sunday September 6th at Exeter Arena when the combined Yeovil & Wells team competed in the 4th fixture in Division One. There were some terrific performances across all the age groups, with Harrier's achieving personal bests at some events. For some of the juniors this followed on from the previous weekends endeavours at Bedford when they competed hard at the u15 & u17 English Championships. At Bedford, Vicky McCabe finished 5th in the u15g long jump with 5.35m, whilst Ollie Thorner was 6th at the u15b High Jump with a 1.72m clearance. Caitlin Carnegie was 3rd and thus English Bronze medal winner, in the u17w 1500m Steeplechase final with 5mins 14secs ;and Elise Thorner was 4th in her u15g 800m heat (12th fastest out of 24).(Photo of Vicky below by Al Thorner).

Rowan Romania helps 150 psychiatric patients who live in a desperately underfunded Romanian hospital. It employs local staff & provides basics that the patients would not otherwise have, e.g. warm clothing, fruit, anaesthesia. The prize would change lives. The Training
I've been walking up and down the Glastonbury Tor a lot. God, it's boring. It's also where I tripped and broke my arm. I will do well to return from this challenge without at least one of my (adult) sons drawing something obscene on the plaster cast.Ash Road races Wells Harriers out in force
