There was some great running by the large band of Wells City Harrier juniors at the Somerset Schools cross country championships held last Saturday February 5^th at Millfield School. Many, if not all, were familiar with the large field circuit, as it is often used by the Harriers based at the Milfield track for training on Monday and Tuesday evenings in spring and summer.

Wells City Harriers will help sponsor its members to attend appropriate training courses to become qualified to

• coach
• officiate
• provide first aid
• assist with team management

Hi – my name is Jenny Perkins and I am a PhD student in running biomechanics at the University of Bath.  We are currently recruiting for a major study looking at the training habits and injury rates of the UK's distance running population. We are hoping to recruit over 1000 runners in order to make this the biggest study of its kind ever undertaken.
