South Of England Road Relays
20th Sept Aldershot
Wells City Harriers sent 1 Mens and 1 vets team to this premiere road race.
Due to other commitments and injuries we managed to send 2 slightly under strength teams, but this did not stop some gutsy performances from some seasoned vets, top juniors and a 1st timer.
Vets kicked off at 12.30 and on 1st leg was Mike Glover who relished the challenge of 1st leg to bring us home 17th vet 40, Mike handed over to Jon Glaisher who is still improving with age to run the fastest time of our team in 22.07 to pull us up to 15th,
Up next seasoned campaigner Steve Masters veteran of this course to pull us to 14th
And on final leg team manager Simon Prior who may have felt the effects of 2 days of driving the mini bus but gave a brave effort to hang on to 16th.
