The Harrier committee is backing a number of  initiatives for 2012 to celebrate the Olympics coming to Britain. These include:

• a specially commissioned London 2012 Training top
• an Olympic themed fun event for juniors
• a major push to encourage more people to take up athletics and become involved in coaching and helping run the Club

We will announce more of the detail about these initiatives over the next month or so.....but below is some info for starters

London 2012 'technical' T-shirt

This will be a specially badged up shirt for training in and will celebrate the London Olympics. Orders will only be take between April 1st and May 1st 2012 on the Harrier membership form and the shirt will cost £5 as it will be heavily subsidised by the Club. It will also encourage members to renew their Membership early as the offer won't be available after May 1st. More information from any committee member. New membership form available on the website from March 1st.

Olympic themed fun event

Simon Prior is coordinating this event aimed at juniors and families to run alongside the Wells Fun Run on Sunday May 27th. Please contact him direct with ideas and offers of help

Recruiting more members and volunteers

Across the year we will look to encourage more people into the sport and it is important that all members play their part in this.  Please speak to a committee members or coach about how you can be involved in this. See the article in the recent Harrier Newsletter (April 2012)
