The 17th year of the Somerset Race Series will see 17 races included. Proceedings get underway on Sunday January 29th at the Hestercombe Humdinger and then follow on with the Harrier sponsored races at Babcary and Butleigh.

The 2012 Series has been extended with an additional race coming in to the Series: the Ninesprings 9k in June. The Hestercombe race and most of the Series races also have races for juniors to accompany the main event.

The aim of the Series is to jointly promote some of the Somerset athletic Club organised races in the County and to encourage friendly competition. Any competitor has to finish 8 of the 17 races across the calendar year to count in the overall Series standings. Entries for Hestercombe main event are now closed but there is a shorter 5k race for juniors and others, where some entries will be taken on the day. The Babcary race will be on Sunday Feb 26th and the Butleigh race on Sunday March 11th. Full details and entry forms/links to these races on the Harrier's  Events & results calendar on this site.
