Robert Moore

Robert Moore began running in school cross-country but took a 32-year hiatus before a friend reignited his passion in 2007. Although he once aimed for a sub-four-hour marathon, he considers completing marathons—despite setbacks like a stress fracture—as his greatest achievement. He wonders if he might have one more marathon in him…

Louisa Saunders

Louisa has been running since childhood, taking it more seriously during university with half marathons. She joined Wells City Harriers in March 2023 for structured training, and talks about how supportive and enjoyable being part of a club has been. Finishing second in the 2023 Somerset Series was also a running highlight, and now she talks about how she aims for a half marathon personal best this autumn.

Jonathan Williams

Jonathan began running in February 2020 after a friend invited him to the Shepton Mallet Parkrun, and he quickly got hooked. He then joined Wells City Harriers in March 2023, enjoying racing various distances up to half marathons, and cherished experiences like cheering at the London Marathon, running in Budapest, and organising the Wells Festival of Running.
