Wells City Harriers
The locally organised Burnham-on-Sea half marathon was held last weekend, attracting a large field of approximately 270 runners. A mainly flat and fast course saw Wells Harriers featured strongly throughout the race with Jonathon Gilling and Jenny Moore being amongst the award winners. Jonathon finished in second place overall clocking a rapid 1:15:55 whilst Jenny was first female and the leading veteran she crossed the line in a time of 1:24:25, placed 15th overall with James Hardy a couple of places ahead in an excellent12th position he was 42 seconds clear of Jenny.
Veteran Rod Appleby ran another fine time for the 13.1 miles finishing in 1:27:11 he was placed 22nd overall and junior Tom Lock in 64th place clocked 1:36:37.
