The Wessex Ridgeway Relay course uses the Wessex Ridgeway that runs for 100km across Dorset from Tollard Royal to Lyme Regis. It is split into 12 stages of between 3 and 9 miles in length and runners generally run two stages each, passing a baton to the next stage runner. The route uses some of the most exposed terrain in Dorset. Wells City Harriers enters an all female team and an all male veterans team.
The Cotswold Way Relay is a 103 miles, 10 Stage, off-road relay through the Cotswolds from Chipping Campden to Bath Abbey. Operated as 10 back-to-back races, each stage begins with a mass start at the expected arrival time of the 1st runner from the previous stage. The Harriers usually enter two teams, a male veterans team and a mixed team and the Mendip Hills Hash House Harriers usually enter a mixed team as well.
Both races require knowledge of the routes, so a recce is advisable unless you propose running a leg you have completed previously. Please let Mike or Ian know if you would like to complete and if you have a particular leg you would like to run please ensure you mention this in your email.
