Rome Half Marathon

Rome Half

Alice and her daughter, Jessica

On Sunday 2nd March Alice Knight ran the Rome Half with her daughter Jessica with both running together in a steady 2 hours 3 minutes. Alice had taken up a place fairly late on when Jess’ friend pulled out with an injury.

Alice reports:
“It was a great event. The course was a long straight run from Rome to the sea but there was variation with supporters and cold sponges (it got very hot!) along the route, made it enjoyable.

Just as we were flagging at 20K we had a loud cheer ‘Well done Wells City Harriers, keep going!!’ It just spurred us over the line and was lovely…”
