Use is very simple. It has the ON/OFF grip switch in the RHS end panel and the control panel on the LHS end.
On pick up it should arrive with a wallet containing the full manual and spare set of batteries. If you find that you need to replace the batteries please buy another set before you hand it on. Al batteries must be of the right spec (8 x AALR6 or R6PU) and be inserted with the correct polarity as shown and must be replaced as a whole set. Deduct the cost from the donation cheque and let us know that you have replaced them.
Check that function buttons are set at 00. Only switch the power on (LHS switch control panel) shortly before you start recording. Push the battery check button for 3 seconds to make sure you get a green light. If only red lights show then you need to change the batteries.
If the Clock hasn't been in use for a while it may arrive with its battery set disconnected and in the storage tin along with the manual and spares. Open the control panel, slide the batteries into the hole and gently press on the 2 x black buttons to clip it into place. Next
attach the connector to the BATT.IN by aligning the groove with the guide key and clicking into place (see page 14 of manual).
Start and stop clock from the buttons on the end of the cable in the RHS panel. Once activated tuck the control back into the unit and close the door.
If you need to reset the time during a race or series of races go to the control panel (see page 10 of the manual). Use the figure switch to select the digit you want to reset and the 0 to 9 switch to select the right number. Then finally, press the set switch, go for a convenient
pre-set time by stop watch and then activate the start button when that time is reached.
After use, switch power off promptly to stop battery drain.
Please use with care! The clock is not separately insured. If, whilst in your care it is badly damaged or stolen then we would expect you to meet some of the costs of its repair/replacement.
Cover the clock if it is raining.
If you are erecting the clock on a gantry or car top please make sure it is very securely fastened to avoid accidents or damage.
When transporting the unit by car support it so that it doesn't fall over.
