Wells City Harriers were in action at track and field and at road races this past weekend. A number of the junior members had good performances at the final South West Track & Field League match at Exeter Arena, whilst some senior athletes competed hard either at the Cardiff 10k or the Bridgwater 10k. The joint team with Yeovil Olympiads finished in overall 7th place (out of 12) in the League this year. Well done to all the Harriers that supported the team effort!

CALL FOR COACHES

Do you fancy giving something back to the Club by being a volunteer coach? There will be a training course for new coaches coming up in October. If you attend the course, and then commit to coaching regularly with the Monday juniors then the Harriers will pay for the course. Please contact either Club Chairman Graham Goldsmid, or the Coaching co-ordinator Paul Chadwick to express an interest. Coaching page here. includes details of all the qualified active Harrier coaches and also has the latest Tuesday night training plan for September & October. We are currently looking at how we can extend our Harrier coaching offer for other days of the week, especially Thursday eve due to ongoing requests to hold another quality session. Contact Paul if you are interested in attending.
