Young Athletes League June 26th
A number of the Harriers’ Under 13 Girls competed well this past weekend with our
partner Club Yeovil Olympiads in the National Young Athletes League. Mazeie Phillips
continues to get better as the season goes on and improved at the Long Jump - this
time going out to 4.03m. She also ran competitively over 150m for a time of 22.4
seconds.
Not too far behind in the 150m race was Meghan Skeates, who is a year younger
than Mazeie, but just as competitive, as she recorded 23.8. Meghan also had a go
at the High Jump. Meghan’s classmate from Shepton’s St Pauls School, Kimberley
Bartlett, also made her debut in this League match and recorded a good first
mark of 3.14.5 for the 800m race, before also recording a useful 3.18m in her first
competitive attempt at the shot.

Edgarley whilst the track at the main school is being renewed.
