Teams from Wells City Harriers made the trip to Sutton Park trying to put there
senior teams to shame, the boys u13 and boys u15.
First
up was the u13 with Luke Prior on 1st leg ran a storming leg to bring us home
in 8th with a time of 13.59 for the 3.8k this was a improvement of 50 sec on
last year and 13th fastest time off the day, next up was James Bridge a first
year u13 ran a controlled leg in 14.52 to gain 1 place and move up to 7th, on
the last leg was Sam Somerville who ran a strong last leg to catch 2 more
places and 8th fastest time of the stage, this was a great performance by the
boys to finish 5th in a time of 43.08.
Next
up the u15 first up was Oliver Fox in a time of 12.56 a great improvement of
46sec on last years time in the u13s and 9th spot. On
the 2nd leg was Phillip Bridge who ran a determined leg in a time of 13.58 to
hold on to 11th place to hand over to Matthew Dickinson who over took 3 spots
in first mile but suffered cramps in his legs with a mile to go which caused
him to fade but still managed to finish to bring the team home.
