In parallel to the previous weekend’s Lake District Mountain Marathon, Jon James one of the club’s top veteran’s made the journey to Ireland where he joined the huge field of around 10,000 runners for the 29^th Dublin Marathon on Monday 27^th Oct.

A top quality field with International and Olympian athletes heading the entries; winner was Ukrainian Andrig Naumov who covered the mainly flat course around the historic capital in 2hours 11mins 06 secs.

Jon clocked 2:43:18 to finish 58^th overall and was placed 6^th Vet 40.
