Hestercombe Humdinger 2008

The opening race for the 2008 series got off to a flying start at the Hestercombe Humdinger near Taunton last Sunday, a new event attracted up to 300 runners, a challenging race over 9.5 mile figure of eight circuit .

Wells outstanding veteran lady Jenny Moore finished as first lady and was the leading harrier, her time of 1hr. 3mins 6secs placed her 7^th overall.

10 harriers were to compete and another veteran Rod Appleby was close to Jenny’s heels in 12^th place clocking 1.04.40.There were over 250 finishers .
