Hail The Champion
Harrier Les Lock was crowned British Masters 10km Champion
last weekend when we competed at the Masters 10km Road Race held at Newtown, Powys. Les ran a personal best 35.52 at the event to win the V55
category ahead of his nearest rival by 20 seconds. Les
has continued to improve since joining the Harriers with his son Tom two years
ago and training with the Tuesday group at the Milfield
track. Les would have bolstered the Harriers V50 team
which without him finished 6th at the South of England Road relays
held the same weekend. Les now waits to see if he has
done enough to earn selection for the English team that will compete at the
home countries cross country match coming up in Belfast in a few weeks time.
