Wells City Harriers

The Bristol Half Marathon with a field of over 15,000 runners produced several outstanding performances which included several Wells harriers finishing in the top 40.Now its 19^th year this event is a top class international race, with its attractive harbour start and finish setting, sees the course mainly at sea level offer a chance for personal bests and fast times ( chipped positions and times as shown).

Winner Tewodros Shiferaw crossed the line in 1hr.3min.01 sec with Wells Eddie Richards finishing in 22^nd position who ran an impressive race to clock 1:09:35 in a close finish for a top twenty place, with fellow club member Adrian Marriott 33^rd with another rapid time of 1:12:32 for the 13.1 miles.

Clare Martin ran an excellent 1:22:34 and finished in 125th place with another Wells lady veteran Yvonne Mears recording 1:34:46 a super effort in 640th place.
