Summer Athletics Training for Juniors

(The athletics season usually runs from April to October)

What Sort of Training?

  •  Training sessions every Monday evening on track and field, with qualified UK Athletics coaches.  (NB All coaches are fully CRB checked.)

  • We build up the individual athlete’s strength, stamina and technique through running, jumping and throwing activities and games. 

  • Years 3 - 5 Fun Athletics trying everything.

  • Years 6 -10 Development Training where athletes can start to specialise.                   

We aim to make all the training fun as well as challenging!   

 

When?   

Mondays  It is important to come on time for warm up, and to stretch at the end
registration 5.50pm in the hut
warm up 6.00
session starts 6.15
cool down 7.10
session ends 7.15

How Much? Wells Harrier Members £1.50, Non-Members £2.50

  • Once-a-month competition evening for all juniors at our Monday evening training sessions.

  • Opportunity to be part of the strongest track & field team in Somerset for Year 6 and above with our partners, Yeovil Olympiads

  • Open Meetings every month throughout the winter at Yeovil Arena.
