The "Stickler" - The Dorset 3 peaks challenge, took place last Sunday with a number of Wells veteran runners tackling the 10 mile off road route with its severe hills across the range of the stunning Dorset countryside.

With a huge entry of 400 there was stiff competition amongst the many veteran age groups, and it was Graham Goldsmid who lead the way for the harriers in a close finish in the MV50 category to cross the line in 34th position and 4th V50, just a few seconds behind the other V50 veteran runners.

Other V50 runners included Paul Chadwick in 85th place clocking 1.25.49, Andrew Pate 97th, 1.26.40, Rex Whitcombe 99th some 7 seconds back; and John Beveridge 130th, 1.29.42. V40 Geoff Cole almost cuaght Paul before the finish line with just 7 seconds and two places between them.

Samatha and Nathan Baker in 148th and 167th were followed by Catherine Goldsmid in 264th place to close the Harriers finishing order.
