Harrier juniors and seniors had a good day of racing at the Battle of Sedgemoor races on August 28th.

 

Four of the Junior Wells City Harriers swept to victory by taking the first four positions in the recent Battle of Sedgemoor Fun Run, over almost 2 miles. First home was Charlie Martin with a great 8.31 clocking, followed by Luke Prior with 9.02, Alex Williams with 9.40 and James Williams with 9.51. Not to be outdone was Abigail Gibbons winning for the girls in overall 6th pace with her 10.21.Team-mate Megan Rusca was 3rd girl in 11.26 with Louise Rusca, 4th girl in 11.40.

 

In the main event run over 10km there were over 450 finishers. First home for the Harriers was Club Treasurer Matthew Lewis in a nippy 34.45 for 16th place, whilst Jenny Moore was 1st F45 in 39.45 and Katrina Prior was 2nd F35 in 42.50. Rebecca Carver was 1st junior female home in 46.18;
