County Track & Field Championships May 12th & 13th

The full programme and entry procedure for this year’s County Track & Field Championships organised by Somerset County Athletic Association have now been confirmed. The Championships take place over two days for all age groups from age 11 upwards through to seniors, with events for disabled athletes included in the Programme once again. The Championships take place at the Yeovil Arena.
For all athletes there are choices, with a maximum of three events on one day for all junior categories (so can just enter 1 event if you wish). We compete as Yeovil Olympiads on the track so you will count for the team when you enter this event.
Events for each age group:
u13 boys & u13 girls:
Saturday 100m; 200m; 800m; Long Jump; High Jump; Shot;
Sunday: 1500m; Sprint Hurdles
u15 boys & u15 girls:
Saturday 100m; 200m; 800m;3000m Long J; High J; Pole Vault; Shot; Jav; Discus; (& 300m & triple Jump for boys)
Sunday Sprint Hurdles; 1500m ( & Hammer for boys)
u17 men& u17 women
Saturday 100m; 200m; 800m;3000m Long J; High J; Triple jump; Pole Vault; Shot; Jav; Discus; (& 400m for boys; or 300m for girls)
Sunday: Sprint Hurdles; 1500m; Hammer; Long hurdles; Steeplechase
Senior men & women : Full programme spread over the two days
Saturday: 100m; 200m; 400m; 800m;3000m; High J;; Pole Vault;;
Sunday: Sprint Hurdles; 1500m; Shot; Jav; Discus; Hammer; Long J; Triple jump; Long hurdles; Steeplechase

CLOSING DATE: MAY 4th; Cost: £3 per event; Entry via County AA website; or for juniors by contacting the Monday coaches by May 1st so that they can enter you: Speak to Al (for sprints); Graham (for middle distance); Lawrence (for jumps); Kaye (for Throws); or Paul (for any).
