The Somerset County Track & Field Championships take place this coming weekend at Yeovil Arena. The Harriers have a whole host of athletes out competing as part of the combined Yeovil & Wells team. Confirmation of entries and the timetable can be seen on the County AA website at http://www.somerset-athletics.co.uk/trackandfieldmainpage.htm. Contact Paul if you spot any errors or ommissions.If the Monday coaches have entered you then please ensure you pay for your number (£3 per event) on Saturday if you have not already done so. Paul & Al will be there. Harriers can collect numbers from Paul at the announcers hut.Paul is on 01749 812420 if you need any further info.

With a slightly new route this year for two of the races, the door is wide open for new course records at this year's Wells Fun Run on Sunday 26th May, less that one week away. More details, including entry form, online entry, pictures and previous results, at the Wells Fun Run page If you have already sent in your entry & paid and have not received your number by Friday you will be able to collect it on the day as we have now stopped sending these out.

Clean sweep for Harriers at Glastonbury Fun Runs ....and now for the Wells Fun Run

Well over 60 Harriers were out competing this past weekend (May 4th-6th) at a host of events covering both road races and track and field. There were well over 30 competing at the local fun runs at Glastonbury, with a handful at the bigger Bristol 10k race and another squad at the North Dorset Marathon. On the track, Harrier athletes travelled to Guildford for the Southern Men’s League and to Bath for the Youth Development League, as well as competing closer to home at Millfield track on the Monday for the prestigious British Milers Club middle distance meeting.

There were over 60 Harrier juniors out competing at last month's Monday eve competition night. Well done to all & many thanks to the volunteers who helped record all the performances.Next one is on Monday May 20th at 5.50-7.30. Parents & senior Harriers again invited to help.
